What began at Global Happiness Fest 2025 with paper installations, photo corners, pixel art and a papercraft stall has grown into an expanding creative collaboration with Kogta Financial. Together, we explore how recyclable paper can become engaging art, décor and experiences, with Kirigami Arts returning for the 2026 edition in a larger creative role.
What began with a series of paper art installations at Global Happiness Fest 2025 is now growing into a larger creative collaboration with Kogta Financial.
At the 2025 edition of the Global Happiness Fest, Kirigami Arts brought paper into the festival environment through a collection of installations and visual elements. The collaboration included specially created photo corners, a dedicated papercraft stall, a paper-crafted Ganeshji, and a series of pixel art pieces created using the origami Blintz Base.
The choice of paper also connected naturally with the festival’s emphasis on more conscious and sustainable experiences. As a versatile, recyclable and comparatively low-impact material, paper can offer an alternative to more permanent or resource-intensive materials commonly used for temporary event décor. Through folding, cutting and construction, Kirigami Arts explored how the material could be transformed into engaging visual experiences while retaining the possibility of being recycled after its use.
The installations were designed to do more than decorate the venue. They created places for people to stop, photograph, explore and experience paper in forms that were unfamiliar to many. Among the highlights were pixel art compositions built from repeated origami units, bringing a traditional folding technique into a distinctly contemporary visual language.
The collaboration also demonstrated how paper could move beyond the boundaries of a workshop table. Folded, layered and constructed at different scales, it became part of the way people experienced the festival while supporting an approach to event décor that considered material use, reuse and recyclability.
The collaboration was initiated by Kogta Financial, whose belief in bringing new creative possibilities into the festival created the opportunity for Kirigami Arts to be part of Global Happiness Fest. The association now continues into the upcoming Global Happiness Fest 2026, where Kirigami Arts returns with an expanded role. What was previously a collection of smaller scale paper installations is now developing into a broader involvement with the event’s core décor and creative environment.
For Kirigami Arts, the journey reflects an ongoing exploration of what paper can become when taken beyond conventional craft. It also reinforces the potential of recyclable materials to become part of meaningful, visually engaging event experiences.
From photo corners and pixel art to larger scale spatial installations, the collaboration continues to explore not just what can be made with paper, but what paper can do within a space, an event and an experience.
